Starting named: /usr/sbin/named: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/named: undefined symbol: dns_resolver_setudpsize
If you get ”Starting named: /usr/sbin/named: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/named: undefined symbol: dns_resolver_setudpsize” Error while trying to start named service on cPanel Linux server then just verify entries of /etc/resolv.conf and if possible add Yahoo IP address or 61.1.96.69 and then do the following …..
yum upgrade bind-libs
And check once again by running /scripts/fixndc
Your problem has been fixed

Hello,
I have downloaded bind-libs-9.2.4-16.EL4.i386.rpm and installed.
Just wget it from any rpm site. ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/www.startcom.org/AS-4.0.0/updates/i386/bind-libs-9.2.4-16.EL4.i386.rpm
rpm -Uvh bind-libs-9.2.4-16.EL4.i386.rpm
Note: But the rpm here you need to select as per your server configuration.
It’s worked for me..
Enjoy..

This DNS error was due to Cpanel update in first week of september . So most of the Cpanel servers faced this issue .
