Manually Update cPanel/WHM

cPanel/WHM sould upgrade itself automatically every once in a while; however, if you want to do this manually then just follow these steps:

1) Login to your VPS as root using SSH

2) Run the command: /scripts/upcp -force

3) Restart cPanel: /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

The actual upgrade may take a while, so you will need to be patient.

You can now also do the equivalent of /scripts/upcp –force via WHM by going to WHM -> cPanel -> Upgrade to Latest Version and checking the box labeled “Force a reinstall even if the system is update to date.” Note cPanel/WHM will restart itself after an upgrade performed via the web interface.
