Google API
1. The Google API stands for ‘Application Programmable Interface’. It is an interface that queries the Google database to help programmers in the development of their applications.
2. Google API’s basically consist of Web services, programs and scripts that enable Internet application developers to find and process information on the Web.
There are many Google APIs like:
AdWords API, Google AJAX Search API, Google Base Data API, Blogger Data API, Google Calendar Data API, Google Gadgets API etc.

I want some information regarding meta tags. Could you please provide me a link in which i can get information regarding how to get meta tags from a website using google API. We are using ASP.NET, C#

You dont need google API to see meta tags of other websites. Meta Tags can be seen directly from the “view page source” option in navigation if your browser.
Meta tags dont have much importance this days so spending more time behind meta tags is not worth. Best option would be to use a free software like goodkeyword and generate list of popular search keywords to add in meta tgas field.
