FTP Session Control

This is a good security tool to have control over your FTP user sessions. FTP session control allows you to keep a check on the number of users logged into your site through FTP and to terminate unwanted or unsecure FTP sessions in progress.

When the page loads completely, you would be able to view six different heads under the title “Current Sessions”

1.User  :- This shows the username / password for each FTP account currently accessing the server

2.Logged in from :-  The IP address of the FTP user is showed here.

3. Status : - This shows the activity of the FTP user logged in. If the user is not transferring files, then his status is shown as “IDLE”.

4.Process ID : - As usual, this is the ID used to recongnize the user who is logged in.

5. Login Time :- The exact login time of the FTP user is shown under this head.

6. Disconnect :- Click on the icon with the X in circle -the symbol for disconnecting a user. Once you click on it, you will be asked for confirmation to disconnect the FTP user & his session. Click Yes to disconnect completely.

Hope this helps icon smile
