In the year 1995, it was introduced by Sun Microsystems and Netscape Communications Corporation. It refers to a scripting programming language which is now widely used on the net. It is now famously known as JavaScript and was standardized in ECMA-262, Java script and Jscript provides additional features that are not included in ECMA.
