One of the most important criteria in dedicated game server hosting would be the low pings which are offered by the hosting company. The lower the pings are the better the game is played on the server. Also in game server hosting the company should be able to provide teamspeak service as in modern gaming world it is becoming very imperative among the gamers.

True. Its better to get your game server in country from where you have your maximum players. UK would be the best option for European player while US would be best for those in American Continent.
If you have players from Asia then choose Singapore or Thailand. You need minimum 100 Mbps uplink for a gameserver and the ISP providing network to the datacenter should be one of the service providers in your country to make your games successful.
